Our Under 19s are Northants T20 Champions after two great wins on Sunday at Burton Latimer. This is the 5th time we have won this tournament in its short history as the lads join the victorious teams from 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2024. They also qualify for Regional Finals Day next Sunday again at Burton Latimer where they hope to emulate go better than the 2024 who finished runners up and emulate the 2019 champions.

On Sunday, we faced Finedon Dolben in the semi final. Bowling first, we restricted them to 137 all out with skipper for the day Toby Vickers (3-24) and Shiv Krishna (3-27) the main contributors with the ball. Despite losing some earlier wickets and finding ourselves 44-3, we recovered well to complete the chase 4 down with 3 overs to spare. Jamie Gaskell (37*) and Naitik Kakkar (26*) seeing us home.

The final was a repeat of last year's as we took on local rivals Northampton Saints who had comprehensively won their semi final. We bowled first and started strongly with Shiv making a rapid 44 and Asad retiring on 50*. We then lost a flurry of middle order wickets that threatened to disrupt the innings. Some useful lower order contributions and Asad coming back in to finish on 60*, we finished on 173 off our 20.

Early wickets were vital and it was skipper Toby who delivered taking the key wicket of Jack Bates for a duck. Wickets then fell at regular intervals through the innings as we ended up bowling Saints out 111 to take the title. Who else but Shiv leading the way with the ball taking 3-17 whilst the Vickers brothers and Gurshaan also took 2 each.
